I’m Rebekah Colley. Since 2015 I’ve been a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University, where I earned a B.A. in Bible with a minor in psychology. Also since 2015, I’ve been married to my favorite person in the world, Caleb Colley. I love being his wife—he blesses me every day, including with the opportunity to be a preacher’s wife. We work with the Lakeside church of Christ in Orange Park, Florida. I’m pursuing an M.A. in New Testament studies, and I enjoy writing and speaking, as well as teaching women and children.
Really, the only thing special you’ll find about me is that I know Jesus Christ. This isn’t because I’m a great person. Or because I’m smart. It’s certainly not because I deserve to know Him. Quite the opposite of all of this. I know Jesus because of His love, grace, and mercy–and I want others to know Him, too. As someone who knows Jesus Christ, I am compelled and obligated to sanctify (set-apart) my heart for God, and also to sanctify God in my heart. This is what this blog is all about.
My blog may not be the most exciting blog on the internet. You won’t find my opinion on every hot-button issue, internet sensation, or contemporary topic here–and you’ll certainly have to overlook my writing abilities and mistakes. What you will find on my blog are honest, biblically based thoughts and studies that will attempt to encourage you to be the sanctified, set-apart Christian that you too are called to be. On this blog you’ll also find the supporting material for my book Finding Him. I attempt to write things that are relevant to our day-to-day Christian walk, and if it’s on my blog, it’s probably an issue that is relevant to me personally. Hopefully you’ll find it relevant to you as well.
